Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Takes a Loss

Michigan Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-3 to the Bridgman Bees. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Monday.

Michigan Lutheran saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ty Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Michigan Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Bridgman, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Michigan Lutheran will welcome Our Lady of the Lake Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bridgman, they will be playing at home against Fennville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something the Bees will no doubt try to take advantage of.
