Basalt is 4-0 against Grand Junction since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Basalt's tournament run continued when they took on Forge Christian on December 14th. Basalt managed a 33-29 win over Forge Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Longhorns.

Meanwhile, Grand Junction was able to grind out a solid victory over Eagle Valley last Saturday, taking the game 52-40.

Basalt's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Grand Junction, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Basalt strolled past Grand Junction when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 37-19. Will Basalt repeat their success, or does Grand Junction have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
