Limestone is 8-2 against Pekin since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Rockets will venture away from home to face off against the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Limestone will be strutting in after a win while Pekin will be coming in after a defeat.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Limestone nor Metamora made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Rockets walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Redbirds. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Not much got past Alec Williams, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Metamora off the board.

On the hitting side, Limestone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Bitner, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Pekin fell victim to Springfield Southeast and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pekin's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Limestone, their win bumped their record up to 16-12.

Limestone came out on top in a nail-biter against Pekin when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
