Baseball Recap: Jasper-Troupsburg Comes Up Short

Jasper-Troupsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-8 to the Hammondsport Lakers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-8 on Tuesday.

Jasper-Troupsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hammondsport, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jasper-Troupsburg will challenge rival Avoca Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hammondsport is set to take on their familiar foe Arkport Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Lakers have won three straight at home, while the Bluejays won six straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
