Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Mt. Vernon picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hutsonville/Palestine Tigers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mt. Vernon took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12.

Mt. Vernon's win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Hutsonville/Palestine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.

Coincidentally, Mt. Vernon and Hutsonville/Palestine will both be playing Grayville the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Bison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
