Softball Recap: Sheboygan Falls Falcons vs. Kiel Raiders

Sheboygan Falls extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-17 in the process. They came up short against the Kiel Raiders, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 back in April.

Sheboygan Falls saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Thill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Kiel, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-13. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

On Kiel's side, Liz Neils made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Neils has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Emma Neils and Sydney Crom did most of the damage at the plate: Emma went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Crom got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Neils has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ally Endries, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Sheboygan Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kiel, they will face off against Hilbert at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
