Baseball Recap: Eagleton College & Career Academy Has No Trouble Against Apostolic Christian Academy

Eagleton College & Career Academy got themselves on the board against Apostolic Christian Academy on Monday, but Apostolic Christian Academy never followed suit. They blew past the Apostolic Christian Academy Flames 16-0.

Jayce Simon made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Simon was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles.

In other batting news, Chase Herman was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Willard King was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Eagleton College & Career Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apostolic Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .222.

Eagleton College & Career Academy now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Looking ahead, Eagleton College & Career Academy will head out on the road to face off against Cosby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Apostolic Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greenback at 5:00 p.m. on March 17th.
