Softball Recap: Wahconah Regional Has No Trouble Against Pittsfield

Wahconah Regional hadn't done well against Pittsfield recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Warriors blew past the Generals 10-0. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Wahconah Regional pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Pittsfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahconah Regional will welcome Littleton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.45 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
