Baseball Recap: Blountstown Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Blountstown and Cottondale squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Blountstown had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 7th.

Cole Watson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Jones, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run.

Blountstown is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18. As for Cottondale, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

As of now, neither Blountstown nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
