Basketball Recap: Coppell Takes a Loss

Coppell was the 63-44 winner over Flower Mound when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Coppell Cowboys took a 53-35 bruising from the Flower Mound Jaguars on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 14th).

This is the second loss in a row for Coppell and nudges their season record down to 13-13. As for Flower Mound, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Coppell will take on Marcus at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Flower Mound, they will face off against Hebron at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
