Football Recap: Southern Wells Comes Up Short

Southern Wells played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Adams Central Flying Jets, falling 48-7. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Despite the loss, Southern Wells still got an impressive performance from Trey Slusher, who threw for 167 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 77 yards.

Southern Wells has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Adams Central, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Meanwhile, Adams Central will square off against rival Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Flying Jets 7.9, the Tigers 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
