Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Marysville

The Lincoln Fighting Zebras will take on the Marysville Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Lincoln is headed into the match having not lost since December 7 and will look to keep things rolling. Everything went their way against Wheatland on Friday as Lincoln made off with a 4-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Fighting Zebras needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

They hit Wheatland with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abdallah Bouchelaghem, Isaac Guzman, Gage Blanton, and Arturo Fuentes.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Marysville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Mira Loma on Friday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Indians were the better team in the second half.

Marysville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three games. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-4.
