Baseball Recap: Bothell's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Bothell's win against Inglemoor wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Vikings 3-2 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 back in March.

Blake Skinner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Skinner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Mickelberry, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the third in a row for Bothell, bringing their record up to 11-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Inglemoor, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Bothell has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Liberty on the 21st. As for Inglemoor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Bellevue on the 21st.
