Maize had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Brayden Myovela did his part to make it six on Friday. The Eagles walked away with a 49-41 victory over the Maize South Mavericks thanks in part to Myovela, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Myovela is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Maize's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Maize South, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Maize will head out on the road to take on Derby at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maize South, they will be home for the holidays to greet Valley Center at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
