Jorja Wheeler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Benedict at Auburndale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoie Bernard, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's loss ended an 18-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 28-6. As for Brentwood Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 16-11-1.

St. Benedict at Auburndale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 defeat against Chattanooga Christian on the 20th. Brentwood Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
