Elkins entered their tilt with West Fork on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the West Fork Tigers 69-43. Given the Elks' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Tigers are ranked 195th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Elkins pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games.
