            Volleyball Recap: Exeter Monarchs vs. Kerman Lions        
        
		
        
        
            If Exeter was riding high  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Selma on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs fell just short of the Kerman Lions by a score of  3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-2  on October 2nd.
 The  loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Kerman scored at least 13 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 22-25,  15-13.
 Kerman found their leader in freshman  Alicia Valle, who  had ten  digs and two  aces. Valle is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last three games she's  played.  Brianna Mitchikoff also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Kerman, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-8.
 Exeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kerman, they will take on Hanford at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
