Volleyball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

If Exeter was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Selma on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs fell just short of the Kerman Lions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on October 2nd.

Exeter wouldn't go down easily and took Kerman into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 15-13.

Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Kerman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Exeter nor Kerman have any future games scheduled.
