Volleyball Recap: Mashpee Takes a Loss

Mashpee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Sandwich Blue Knights. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Sandwich scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 23-25, 25-22.

Mashpee's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Sandwich, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mashpee and Sandwich will both be playing East Bridgewater the next time they take the court. The Blue Knights will host the Vikings at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
