Basketball Recap: Elijah Kindle Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Northwood Temple Academy won the last time they faced Fayetteville Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Northwood Temple Academy Eagles strolled past the Fayetteville Christian Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 74-57. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Warriors are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwood Temple Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elijah Kindle led the charge by going 9 of 20 to rack up 20 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Kindle a new career-high. Jalen Harris was another key player, going 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points and four steals.

When it comes to explaining why Fayetteville Christian lost, don't look at Ethan Durgadin. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 16 en route to 18 points along with six assists and five boards. The match was Durgadin's ninth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Hamer, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Northwood Temple Academy's record is now 21-9. As for Fayetteville Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
