Basketball Recap: Teton Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Brynlee Lund and Kara Webster

After flying high against West Jefferson two weeks ago, Teton came back down to earth. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Snake River Panthers by a score of 42-40 on Wednesday. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Teton had strong showings from Kara Webster, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds, and Brynlee Lund, who earned eight points and three steals. Lund is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hallie Brown, who had four points and five boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Teton fell to 2-1. As for Snake River, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Teton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-28 defeat against South Fremont on the 4th. Snake River has also already played their next game (against Kimberly), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
