Basketball Recap: Straughn Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

After losing to Bullock County the last time they met, Straughn decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Straughn Tigers walked away with a 41-29 victory over the Bullock County Hornets on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Straughn had a senior duo take command as Clark Jordan posted seven points and 12 boards and Saxby Radford went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds. Those ten points gave Radford a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Fowler, who had seven points.

Straughn is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. As for Bullock County, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Straughn and New Brockton will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Bullock County, they will host Barbour County at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
