Volleyball Recap: Kellam Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Kellam had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kempsville Chiefs. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chiefs, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-21.

Kellam can attribute much of their success to Giulia Alison, who had 15 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Alison a new career-high. Mia Schmidt also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Kellam was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kempsville only served two.

Kellam's record is now 11-3. As for Kempsville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Kellam will head out to square off against Grassfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kempsville, after both having extra time off, they and Cox will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
