Football Recap: South Western Comes Up Short

South Western had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 42-14 defeat at the hands of the Susquehanna Township HANNA on Friday.

South Western's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Carbaugh, who rushed for 110 yards and one TD on only nine carries. Carbaugh's longest rush was for an incredible 88 yards.

Torin Evans was nothing short of spectacular for Susquehanna Township: he threw for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in two scores on the ground.

South Western has already played their next contest, a 45-13 win against Dover on the 29th. As for Susquehanna Township, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 62-6 victory against Greencastle-Antrim on the 29th.
