Baseball Recap: Cranberry Area Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Clarion last Wednesday, Cranberry Area came back down to earth. The Berries fell just short of Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Berries were not able to make up for their loss to Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Connor Morrow made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Findlay, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Cranberry Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Cranberry Area will take on DuBois Central Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they will square off against North Clarion at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
