Football Recap: North Mason Bulldogs vs. Klahowya Eagles
North Mason took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past the Klahowya Eagles, posting a 37-6 victory at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Danner Jones was a one-man wrecking crew for North Mason as he rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 150 yards and a touchdown while completing 84.6% of his passes. North Mason also got help from Derek Dunham, who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
North Mason's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Chris Arbogast and Caden Atencio.
North Mason will be playing at home against Kingston at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Klahowya, they will welcome Coupeville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
