It was a good run, but First Baptist Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Wilmington Christian Academy Blazers by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, First Baptist Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-11.

Kate Burman paced First Baptist Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Burman got some help from Joanna Wacker and her 39 assists. Kara Gravley controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

First Baptist Christian's loss dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

As of now, neither First Baptist Christian nor the Blazers have any future games scheduled.
