Basketball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ennis last Tuesday, Midlothian came back down to earth. The Midlothian Panthers took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Oak Hawks. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Red Oak found their leader in sophomore Kierstyn Totten, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenedi Griffin, who posted ten points.

Midlothian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Red Oak, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-11.

Midlothian has already played their next game, a 59-31 win against Corsicana on the 28th. As for Red Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-9 victory against Ennis on the 28th.
