Basketball Recap: Frontenac Takes a Loss

Frontenac lost against St. Mary's-Colgan back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Frontenac Raiders lost to the St. Mary's-Colgan Panthers on the road by a 56-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Panthers are ranked 40th).

Frontenac dropped their record down to 2-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Mary's-Colgan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Frontenac has already played their next contest (against Galena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Mary's-Colgan will head out on the road to challenge Girard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's-Colgan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
