Softball Recap: Cabrini Drops Highest Score of Season Against Livingston Collegiate Academy

After low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Cabrini brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They never let the Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Tuesday. The Crescents' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Makayla Richoux made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Richoux was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those triples marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, Gabriella Goodick was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Schielder, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Cabrini always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .935. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cabrini's victory bumped their record up to 2-6-1. As for Livingston Collegiate Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Cabrini will head out on the road to take on Academy of Our Lady at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Livingston Collegiate Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Jefferson RISE Charter at 4:00 p.m.
