Soccer Recap: Savio Takes a Loss

Savio's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Central Catholic Buttons by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Buttons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Savio's goal came courtesy of James Webster, who's now up to five this season.

Savio's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Central Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-1-2.

Savio has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against St. Michael's on the 28th. As for Central Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Antonian Prep on the 28th.
