Basketball Recap: Hoke County Takes a Loss

Hoke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Richmond Raiders, falling 67-23. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Raiders are ranked 48th).

Hoke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Richmond, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Hoke County will take on West Charlotte in a tournament on December 21st. As for Richmond, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Charlotte Country Day School at 1:00 p.m. on December 26th.
