Twin Falls is 8-2 against Canyon Ridge since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bruins will take on the Riverhawks at 4:30 p.m. Twin Falls will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Last Monday, Twin Falls made easy work of Wood River and carried off a 16-2 victory. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Cameron Reyes and Kentyn Ketterling dominated on the mound. Reyes tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Ketterling tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Ketterling has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hoyt Murray, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Nolan Lehew was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Twin Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Canyon Ridge had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Thunder Ridge on Wednesday. Considering the Riverhawks have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Jaxon Wheeler made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Wheeler was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
In other batting news, Chritian Waitley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Canyon Ridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-7 otherwise. Justin Martin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Twin Falls' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Canyon Ridge, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-7.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Twin Falls has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .439. However, it's not like Canyon Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Twin Falls suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Canyon Ridge in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
