Norrix waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 win over the Portage Central Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly two runs.

Sayani Jones was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grayson Borick, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Norrix's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Portage Central, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norrix will challenge St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Portage Central, they will face off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
