Delaware Valley Friends comes up short despite Alec George's dominant performance

Recap: Delaware Valley Friends vs. Mercy Career & Technical

Delaware Valley Friends suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were the victim of a rough 57-33 loss at the hands of Mercy Career & Technical. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delaware Valley Friends has scored all season.

Despite the loss, Delaware Valley Friends still got an impressive performance from Alec George, who scored 12 points along with four steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Thomas, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Taji Stewart continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mercy Career & Technical, scoring 24 points. Anthony Caple was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Delaware Valley Friends' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for Mercy Career & Technical, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Delaware Valley Friends will play host again and welcome Pine Forge Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Mercy Career & Technical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
