Basketball Recap: Eastside Christian Takes a Loss

Eastside Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Saddleback Roadrunners, falling 77-12.

It was another big night for Christopher Trotter, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds for Saddleback. Trotter's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steven Orellana, who posted ten points.

Eastside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Saddleback, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-11.

Eastside Christian has already played their next contest (against Vista Meridian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Saddleback will be playing at home against La Quinta at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Quinta knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Saddleback likes a good challenge.
