Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Steward). Their defense stepped up to hand the Grace Christian School Kings a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. This was payback for Steward, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Juliet Forlano and Mila Rene scored all three of Steward's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Steward's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-2. As for Grace Christian School, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Steward has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Norfolk Christian on the 15th. As for Grace Christian School, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 10-1 win against The Carmel School on the 14th.
