Volleyball Recap: Firebaugh Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Gate last Wednesday, Firebaugh came back down to earth. The Firebaugh Falcons fell just short of the Leuzinger Olympians by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Olympians 25-15 in the first set.

Firebaugh actually scored more points across those five sets (108-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Firebaugh now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Leuzinger, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons duke it out with the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leuzinger, they are taking a road trip to face off against Paramount at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
