It was a good run, but Princeton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Boonville Pioneers. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pioneers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Princeton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-22, 25-19, 33-31.

Despite the loss, Princeton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Abigail Wright had 13 digs.

Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Boonville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Princeton has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Evansville Central on the 1st. As for Boonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against North Posey on the 1st.
