Baseball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield fell victim to Huntington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Huntsmen, falling 13-0. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huntsmen from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Fairfield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Huntington, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Coming up, Fairfield will welcome Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The G-Men have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.46 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Huntington, they will square off against Lynchburg-Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
