Basketball Recap: Simone Pryor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead O'connor over Chaparral

It was a proper cat-fight when O'Connor faced off against Chaparral on Friday. The game between the Panthers and the Bobcats didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 49-35. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

O'Connor's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simone Pryor, who posted nine points and six rebounds. Pryor is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cambry Chance, who scored three points and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, O'Connor fell to 5-1. As for Chaparral, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.
