Basketball Recap: Foreman Takes a Loss

Foreman was the 50-21 winner over Uplift when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Foreman Hornets took a 29-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Uplift Titans on Friday. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Uplift found their leader in sophomore Keera Watts, who posted 19 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Watts has scored at least a third of Uplift's points.

Foreman's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Uplift, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foreman will host Intrinsic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Uplift, they will be playing at home against Douglass at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Uplift's defense has only allowed 21.4 points per game this season, so Douglass' offense will have their work cut out for them.
