Baseball Recap: Shadow Creek Gets the Win

The Shadow Creek Sharks had just enough and edged out the La Porte Bulldogs 6-4 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sharks.

Jaylan Simmons was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Clayton Cato was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases.

Shadow Creek now has a winning record of 11-10. As for La Porte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Creek will face off against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Indians have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for La Porte, they will take on Friendswood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
