Basketball Game Preview: Farrell Steelers vs. Grove City Eagles

The Farrell Steelers will venture away from home to challenge the Grove City Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Farrell picked up another tournament win on Sunday. They secured a 58-54 W over Sewickley Academy.

Meanwhile, Grove City entered their tilt with Meadville on Friday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 72-70. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since January 16, 2024.

Grove City pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Farrell, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Farrell barely slipped by Grove City in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, winning 43-42. Will Farrell repeat their success, or does Grove City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
