The Eagles' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

Meanwhile, St. George's had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fayette Academy, sneaking past 8-7.

Evangelical Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for St. George's, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Everything went Evangelical Christian's way against St. George's in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Evangelical Christian made off with a 14-0 victory.
