Baseball Recap: Chandler Wolves vs. Hamilton Huskies
Chandler extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 11-13-1 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hamilton Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 two weeks ago.
Chandler saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Harrell, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
As for Hamilton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games.
On Hamilton's side, Brady Wise looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Wise has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ben Ball, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Noah Berge was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
Chandler wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-5 win against Perry on the 24th. As for Hamilton, they have also already played their next game, a 9-5 loss against Casteel on the 22nd.
