Baseball Game Preview: Crittenden County Rockets vs. Fort Campbell Falcons

Crittenden County is 8-1 against Fort Campbell since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Crittenden County came up short against Webster County and fell 6-2. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crittenden County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quinn Summers, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. Summers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Meanwhile, Fort Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Russellville, falling 13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Falcons have suffered against the Panthers since May 5, 2016.

Crittenden County's loss dropped their record down to 9-16-1. As for Fort Campbell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Crittenden County couldn't quite get it done against Fort Campbell when the teams last played back in March as they fell 22-19. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
