Softball Recap: Lake Placid Takes a Loss

Lake Placid and Berkeley Prep squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lake Placid had to settle for second. They fell 4-0 to the Buccaneers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Dragons haven't been shut out since back in March.

Lake Placid dropped their record down to 14-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Berkeley Prep, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-9.

Lake Placid does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berkeley Prep, they will take on Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
