Baseball Recap: Starpoint Takes a Loss

The Starpoint Spartans lost 10-4 to the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers on Saturday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Starpoint got a good showing from MASON MIKULSKI, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time MIKULSKI hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, MIKE MIKULSKI made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Starpoint's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mercyhurst Prep, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Starpoint didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Grand Island on the 24th. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-3 win against Villa Angela-St. Joseph on the 21st.
