Preview: Bernstein Dragons vs. Dorsey Dons
The Bernstein Dragons will stay at home for another game and welcome the Dorsey Dons at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Dorsey took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bernstein, who comes in off a win.
Bernstein stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Belmont 97-35 at home. The win was just what Bernstein needed coming off of a 67-42 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bernstein to victory, but perhaps none more so than Troy Agtang, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Agtang has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Carlos Cordero was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with three steals.
Dorsey lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against George Washington Prep, falling 72-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dorsey in their matchups with the Generals: they've now lost four in a row.
Bernstein is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. As for Dorsey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.
Bernstein came up short against the Dons in their previous meeting back in December of 2016, falling 64-59. Will Bernstein have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
